Last Friday, each of us had a chance to share about our backgrounds and to provide an overview on a conflicts we are dealt with.

 There are many interesting topics about conflicts and I feel like I were travelling with them to various parts of the world.  Among the topics, I have learnt about the violence against women in India, Nigeria, and Agentina. The issues of conflict in Myanmar, Liberia, Palestina and Turkey and so on. On that day, my presentation was about the controversial Xayabury Dam on the Mekong river and the role of Laos for conflict resolution. We will have more time to do an analysis on these issues in a next couple months after we learn all the theories. 

All in all, It was a great day for me learning about new idea and hearing about new conflicts that I had never heard of before. This will create a good platform for all of us to develop our conflict analysis, and to be able to reflect our values and viewpoints, and to be able to solve the conflicts in the future.
